Predicting our way of life that in 2025 will take place. How do our lives will look like? What are our habits? What is in fashion? And where do we look for? For one of my latest fashion commands I got the opportunity to do a prediction on here. Will this prediction come true in 2025? It will give me.. A lot of plans have already been made for the future in the field of fashion, it is truly amazing what has already been devised. Here I can certainly get some ideas from.
3D printing
In 2025 we print very cheap all our clothing, predicts inventor and computer scientist Ray Kurzweil. People pay for downloadable designs of the most popular designers. Also, 3D printers, thanks to modified stem cells to create human organs, effortlessly. 3D printing is now also being used in the high-fashion industry. Iris van Herpen has printed her signature on all of her collections with this technique.
Moodshapes
Fashion in the future as programmable artifact. Think of a garment that in a dynamic way of color, shape, or style may change. Or clothing that can react on your surroundings, your mood, or the people around you. The new technologies give designers and consumers a lot of new opportunities where they can deposit themselves on. There is as much as possible, if you're only thinking of re-and interactive clothing, or to imprints used by light or temperature change. For the consumer is fashion so just more personal.
New materials
In addition, we see new materials with special properties that are used in clothes. Such as memory materials that are very stiff and retain their shape. Think of it as a kind of corset that brings your body into shape or maintains a good position. Skaters and swimmers already use suits that do that. Or suits that can help strengthen our muscles just like a vibrating plate, especially good for elderly people who lose muscle strength.
There are also materials that can transmit light or reflect, for example copied from the squid that can hide in its environment by changing its skin. Think of a dress (such as that of designer Daan Roosgaarde) or underwear that becomes transparent when you get excited.
I'll keep you on further inventions certainly informed. Will be continued..
