Florence trip last week

Last week we went to florence in Italy with school. The city is one of the most famous cultural cities in Europe. It is the cradle of the Renaissance. Many famous artists, scientists, writers and other historical people have lived here or were born here. Examples include Leonardo De Vinci, Michelangelo and Galileo Galilei.

Much of the wealth of Florence is due to the de'Medici family. This extremely wealthy family had several palaces, churches and museums built in the city. Later all these art treasures were donated to the city of Florence. Partly because of this, Florence is one of the richest cities in the world in the field of art and architecture.

Florence is also known as an excellent shopping city where all major brands can be found. This supplemented with nice little and unique shops make Florence a true shopping paradise, a real must to go!
